WordPress for Android: Version 4.2

Hello, WordPress users! Version 4.2 of the WordPress for Android app is now available in the Google Play Store, and we’ve introduced some noticeable changes.

What’s New

We’ve added Insights to the mobile app! Now the same instant access to your all-time numbers — including posts, views, and visitors — is available straight from the app.

More Improvements

  • New Passcode Lock screen: The Passcode Lock screen has been updated to the same sleek design as the rest of the app.
  • Site search: For those who manage a lot of sites, you can now search for a specific site instead of scrolling around to find it.
  • Accessibility improvements: Navigating the new tabbed interface will be better with accessibility on.

Bug fixes

  • Unicode in Reader tags: You can now follow tags that have unicode characters in them.

Do you enjoy keeping up with what’s new in the app, testing stuff, and exploring new UI changes before anyone else? Our testers have access to beta versions with updates shipped directly through Google Play. The beta versions may have new features, new fixes — and possibly new bugs! Testers make it possible for us to improve the overall app experience, and offer us invaluable development feedback. Want to become a tester? Please request access through our Google+ Community.
