WordPress for iOS: Version 5.2

Hello, WordPress users! Version 5.2 of the WordPress for iOS app is now available in the App Store. Here’s a peek at the newest features and latest updates:

What’s new:

In version 5.2, we’re introducing a new and modern media picker, with quick access to your phone camera and albums. This app update also includes enhancements to comments, image uploading improvements, and our usual squashing of bug fixes.

New and modern media picker. Now, when you’re using and interacting with your media picker, you have instant access to your phone camera. When viewing your images, you’ll see a camera display screen in real-time as the last photo (see the image below, on the left). Just tap on it to open your camera.

You can also find and select images from among your albums in a dropdown menu, accessed from the top of the screen (see the image below, on the right).

Improved comments. We’ve enabled Infinite Scroll for comments to make it easier for you to read and follow along in your comments. You can also keep track of your replies in your comment notifications — the app will tell you if you’ve already replied to a comment.

Flexible image uploads. Unsupported image formats (e.g., tiff) are now accepted and converted into a supported format before upload.

Bug fixes. We fixed a bug in which posts weren’t appearing when users scrolled through their Posts list. (If interested, you can see the complete list of bug fixes here.)

Thank you!
