WordPress For Android: Version 3.8

Version 3.8 of the WordPress for Android app is now available in the Google Play Store. Here’s a peek at the newest features and latest updates.

What’s new

Version 3.8 brings new stats features, faster reader loadings and bug fixes.

More stats. What are people searching for to find your site, and where do they reside? We’ve added search terms and map views to the stats screen to give you more insight on how people are reading your posts and finding your blog.

Faster image loading. We’ve reduced the file size of images in the Reader to cut down on load time and save bandwidth, which means you can quickly catch up on new posts from your favorite websites and bloggers.

New blog icons. Quickly identify the blogs you follow on the “show and hide” screen with the aid of new icons.

Bug fixes. We also fixed an issue that was affecting image uploads, as well as an issue that was making it difficult to publish new posts and pages.

Beta

Do you like keeping up with what’s new in the app? Do you enjoy testing new stuff before anyone else? Our testers have access to beta versions with updates shipped directly through Google Play. The beta versions may have new features, new fixes — and possibly new bugs! Testers make it possible for us to improve the overall app experience, and offer us invaluable development feedback.
